New Delhi, May 6: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over unfulfilled promises.
“PM Modi will sink into his wave of lies, as all his promises are unfulfilled”,
said Sidhu said while addressing a press conference.
Citing 20,000 Crore Namami Gange flagship programme, the Punjab Minister alleged only 6,000 Crore was spent, not even 10% of the sewage infrastructure was built.
“River Ganga in Varanasi is the most polluted, harmful bacteria has increased by 84 times”.
“Supreme Court observes that the rate at which Modi govt is cleaning river Ganga, it’ll take 200 years to complete the cleaning of R. Ganga”.
“2.5 lakh villages were to benefit from Digital India connectivity. In reality, only 1.10 lakh villages have merely received cable, in which not even 2% of these villages have an internet connection”.
Speaking about Skill India project, “40 crore were to be trained by 2020 under PMKVY project. In reality, barely 41 lakh received training, out of which only 6 lakh were placed.
“It is a scam, nearly 40% are ghost entries”, he added.
