Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Ivanka Trump yesterday at the Falaknuma Palace hotel in Hyderabad was a grand affair. Apart from other dignitaries, Telangana Chief Minister K.K. Chandrasekhar Rao was also present. There were separate banquets for about 1500 delegates attending the GES, in the lawn of the Palace.
However,an invitation was not extended to the Nizam family for the dinner. The last Nizam of Hyderabad Nawab Najaf Khan’s, grandson Mir Osman Ali Khan, made his displeasure public for not getting the dinner invitation. Talking to the media, he said that as a member of the Nizam family, he should have been extended the courtesy. He also claimed that he had been trying to get in touch with Niti Ayog, which was preparing for the event for more than a week, but he did not get a response.

The Falaknuma Palace, which was the abode of Nizam of Hyderabad and now a Taj group hotel is famous for the huge dinner table which can seat 101 guests.
