PM Modi is more focussed on his appearance, says Kumaraswamy

Karnataka Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy,

Karnataka, April 18 : Questioning Prime Minister’s contribution to the country over the last five years, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said Narendra Modi is more focused on his appearance as he wax his face daily before appearing in front of the camera.

He further said that he is not like Modi who wash hands after touching poor.

Hitting out at Modi in Shivamogga, Kumaraswamy said, ” These people (BJP) say even if I bathe 20 times a day my black buffalo colour will not go.Yes, I’m not like your Modi who comes out every morning after waxing his face.”

He further attacked Modi for the “made for media” event where PM Modi was seen washing the feet of sanitation workers at Prayagraj in February for elections and said ” love to live with poor people and I don’t wash hands after touching poor. ”

His responded after former BJP MLA Raju Kage mocked Kumaraawamy saying the Karnataka Chief Minister will still look like a buffalo even if he bathes 100 times.

“The prime minister failed on various fronts,” Kumaraswamy said at an election meeting at Anavati in Shivamogga seeking votes for JD(S) candidate Madhu Bangarappa.

“Today when Modi is touring across the country, giving speeches and seeking votes, he asks people to vote for the security of the nation. Instead of development, he seeks vote for the safety and security of the nation,” the chief minister said.

Kumaraswamy appealed to the people to realise that the country was never insecure. Shivamogga is among the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies that will go to the polls during the second phase on April 23.

The first phase of polling, covering 14 other seats in the State, will take place on April 18.
