Mumbai, Jan 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai.
I&B Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Central Board of Film Certification chief Prasoon Joshi made their presence at the event.
Prominent personalities including Asha Bhosle, AR Rahman, Jeetendra, Randhir Kapoor, Aamir Khan among others attended the inauguration of National Museum of Indian Cinema.
“Film and society are a reflection of each other. We have watched movies on India’s poverty and helplessness, but now we have films where if there is a problem, there is a solution too”, PM Modi told the gathering.
The Prime Minister further said that “In order to curb piracy, the government is taking steps to make amendments in the Cinematograph Act 1952”.
