PM Modi holds mega roadshow in Varanasi

Varanasi, April 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a mega roadshow in Varanasi, a day ahead of filing of nominations from the Lok Sabha seat for the general election.

The roadshow began from the Lanka area of the city covered Assi Ghat, Bhadaini, Sonarpura, Madanpura, Jangambadi, Godowlia before concluding at the Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Before kickstarting the rally, PM Modi paid a tribute to Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya, outside Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

The Prime Minister Modi arrived in Varanasi, today for a two-day trip to the temple town.

Modi won the 2014 elections from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat by defeating Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Ajay Rai.

The high-profile parliamentary constituency will vote on May 19 in the seventh phase of the polling.
