New Delhi, July 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged states to take strict action against cow vigilantes, Union minister Ananth Kumar said after the all-party meeting on Sunday.
Kumar also quoted, PM Modi said “cow vigilantism should not be given political or communal colour and the nation doesn’t benefit from it. Every state government should act against it”.
“There is a law on cow protection in the country. But wrongdoing in the name of cow protection out of personal animosities cannot be tolerated,” he added.
During meeting, PM thanked everyone for the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST),

From opposition parties, CPI National Secy D Raja, Samajwadi Party’s Mulayam Singh Yadav also arrived for an all-party meeting.
TMC is boycotting the meeting, while JDU said we could not attend the all-party meeting as Sharad Yadav and other MPs are busy.
