PM Modi applauds GST bill, calls it best example of cooperative federalism

In a major achievement of ruling government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday applauded the passage of the GST bill in the Rajya Sabha by saying the new uniform tax regime will help exports, boost employment and will be the best example of cooperative federalism.

Just after the pro-longed pending Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill passage passed in Rajya Sabha with 2/3 majority, Modi, in a series of tweets said that the decision on GST was “path-breaking” and it has given India an indirect tax system for the 21st century.
