New Delhi, May 11: Responding to the Jaitley’s statement, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal said that people of India are the jockeys and they will pull him off the track for treatment on May 23 , 2019, the day when the results for general elections will be announced.
In a series of tweets, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for speaking lies about former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and said that Modi and BJP leaders are living in a misconception that people of India will believe them.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday claimed that the Prime Ministerial contest in the ongoing elections has become a “one-horse race” and exuded confidence that ‘Modi mandate’ could be larger than in 2014.
“A Minister says :The PM contest now a one horse race ;He forgets that the people of India are the jockeys who know that this horse is in distress , having failed on all counts . So they will pull him off the track for treatment on May 23 , 2019,”Sibal tweeted.
“NaMo on :I N S Viraat;Rajivji used I N S Viraat as “ personal taxi “ for a holiday. Admiral Ramdas , Vice Admiral Pasricha on board the carrier said “ ..remarks about INS Viraat used as “ personal taxi “ totally wrong,”Kapil Sibal said.
“सच का दुश्मन , झूट का सम्राट , कौन करे , तुझपे विश्वास.” Sibal tweeted.
Modi had accused Rajiv Gandhi of using INS Viraat as his “personal taxi”. PM Modi alleged that Rajiv Gandhi used INS Viraat for a “family vacation” in the Lakshadweep archipelago.
A retired Indian Navy officer who was involved in planning former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s now controversial 1987 Lakshadweep trip has refuted allegations that the late prime minister misused the now-decommissioned Indian Naval Ship (INS) Viraat for a family vacation.
