New Delhi, Aug 20: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said the National Investigation Agency has a conviction rate of approximately 95 per cent and suggested that with this high rate of conviction it would help in curbing terrorism and terror funding.
Speaking at the inauguration of the NIA building in Lucknow, Singh said people involved in terror funding are scared of the National Investigation Agency , after it’s recent course of action taken against stone pelting incidents in the Kashmir valley.
Fake currency plays vital role in fueling naxalism and terrorism adding, the investigative agency is also probing cases of terror funding, he further stated.
Home Minister hailed the NIA for the credibility since its inception in 2009.
His remarks comes at the time when the NIA has launched a crackdown against Kashmiri Separatists.
