Parliament winter Session Day 6: Rajya Sabha adjourned till Dec 27 amid uproar

New Delhi, Dec 22: For the second day in a row, as Congress leaders demanded apology over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks against his predecessor Manmohan Singh, the Rajya Sabha has not functioned and adjourned till December 27. 

Earlier in a day, the Congress gave an adjournment motion notice in the Rajya Sabha under Rule 267 on Modi’s comment.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha also witnessed ruckus after Congress MPs raised slogans demanding PM Modi’s apology.

Updates of Lok Sabha: 

Minister Rajnath Singh said “Initial figure of missing persons was 433, now after return of some the number of missing remains 275. Even today, which is the 22nd day, 18 ships of Navy & Coast Guard are conducting search operations” news agency ANI reported.

During the discussion, Congress MP from Kerala KC Venugopal said “Modern technology is needed to help the people. Unfortunately, there has been a lapse by the authorities in informing the people about the cyclone. I am not blaming anyone as this should not be a political issue,” Firstpost quoted.
