New Delhi, Dec 10: An all-party meeting arranged by the Central government ahead of the winter session of Parliament concluded on Monday.
During the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the centre sought co-operation from political parties for the smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge, CPI leader D Raja and others made their presence.
Earlier in a day, the Upper House Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu has also called an all-party meet today to build consensus for the smooth functioning of the Upper House.
Opposition parties will also hold a meeting to discuss their strategy to counter the government.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan is scheduled to meet the leaders of political parties tomorrow.
