New Delhi, June 25 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply in Lok Sabha on Motion of thanks on President Ram Nath Kovind’s Address on Tuesday and it is more likely , he will speak on the issues that his government will focus in this term of five years.
Opoosition will be waiting for Modi’s response on the lynching incident in Jharkhand. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad attacked the government in the Rajya Sahba, over the lynching incident in Jharkhand.
“I request you to keep the New India to yourself and give us our Old India where there was love, culture. Hindus used to feel the pain when Muslims & Dalits used to get hurt. When something used to get into eyes of Hindus, Muslims & Dalits used to shed tears for them,” said Ghulam Nabi Azad.
“In Old India there was no hatred, anger or lynching. New India is one, where humans are enemies of each other. You won’t be scared of animals in a jungle but you’ll be scared of humans in a colony. Give us India where Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians live for each other,” he added.
Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury mocked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and compared PM Modi to ‘gandi naali’. He said that the saffron party won general elections because PM Modi was a ‘very big salesman’ and the Congress couldn’t gain grounds as it could not market its products.
Opposition leaders want the prime minister to reply to the debate on the motion of thanks before he leaves the G20 summit in.
