New Delhi, July 26 : A day after Lok Sabha passed the Triple Talaq Bill and Rajya Sabha passed the RTI Amendment Bill, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has introduced the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in Lok Sabha on Thursday, which is strongly opposed by the Opposition.

The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill, 2019, will also be moved to be passed by Minister of Health Harsh Vardhan. The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2019, the bill to amend the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 will be taken up in the Lok Sabha.

MPs from the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Friday gave Zero Hour notices in the Rajya Sabha over several issues.

TMC MP Dola Sen has submitted Zero Hour notice in the Upper House over ‘demand to review the decision to privatise Indian ordnance factories.’

The Zero Hour refers to the time immediately following the Question Hour in both the Houses of Parliament. During this hour, parliamentarians can raise matters of great importance without the mandatory ten days advance notice.

SP MP Jaya Bachchan has given Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha over the plight of entertainment industry in India.

On Azam Khan’s remark on her, BJP Mp Rama Devi said, ” He has never respected women, we all know what he had said about Jaya Prada ji. He has no right to stay in Lok Sabha, I will request the Speaker to dismiss him. Azam Khan must apologize.”
