Paralympic medallist Deepa Malik complains against Vistara for ill-treatment


Delhi, 6 Oct: It’s sad to hear that the Paralympic silver medallist Deepa Malik was treated rudely with one of the members of crew onboard Vistara Airline.

The incident came in light after Deepa Malik expressed her disappointment via her twitter handle.

She filed a formal complaint against Vistara airlines for ill-treatment with wheelchair-bound passengers.

The incident took place when Malik was on her way back to her Gurgaon home, returning from Mumbai to Delhi via Vistara flight UK 902.

In her complaint,she alleged that one of the cabin crew members behaved rudely with her when she was informing her mother on the phone that the flight scheduled to depart at 3:35 pm from Mumbai airport was delayed.

However, later while reacting to her tweets Chief commercial officer Sanjiv Kapoor apologised for the incident and assured her to investigate the matter.

Officials from Vistara also visited Malik at her home.


Malik won a silver medal in shotput at the Rio Paralympics 2016. She received the Arjuna Award in 2012.
