Pakistani posts destroyed by Indian Army in Nowshera: Major Gen Ashok Narula

New Delhi, May 23, 2017: The India Army on Tuesday affirmed that counter-infiltration operations in Kashmir were successful with damage caused to Pakistan posts along LoC.

Addressing a media, Army spokesperson Major General Ashok Narula said that “The Pakistan Army has been providing support to armed infiltrators…In recent actions in Naushera (border sector of Rajouri district), we have caused damage to Pakistan army posts.”

Asked when the attacks took place, Narula said it was “recent, very recent” operation.

He didn’t give details but shared a video clip showing what looked like a forested area being bombed and smoke and fire billowing up after the explosion.

“Punitive fire assaults are being undertaken across the line of control. Indian Army proactively dominates LOC. We want peace and tranquillity in J&K,” he said.

Infiltrations are likely to increase with the melting of snow and opening of passes,” Maj Gen Ashok Narula said.
