Soldier killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in J&K’s Rajouri

Srinagar, March 18: An Indian soldier was killed in Pakistan firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday.

He was killed during a ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army in the Sunderbani sector.

“A soldier was killed and four others injured when Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation around 5.30 a.m. today. The Indian Army retaliated effectively,” news agency IANS quoted the sources as saying.

The firing which began at about 5:30 a.m stopped at about 7:15 am.

Earlier, on 6:30 pm on Sunday Pakistan violated ceasefire here evoking an effective reply from the Indian Army.

This comes after Pakistan on Wednesday violated ceasefire in Poonch sector of the state.
