Pakistan Cinemas to resume screening Indian films from Dec.19

New Delhi, December 19: Pakistani film exhibitors and Cinema owners are likely to resume screening of Indian Films from December 19. Pakistani Cinema has lifted banned on Bollywood movies.

The ban was imposed due to escalations of tensions between India and Pakistan due to terrorist attacks on the border.

On September 30, management of Pakistan Cinemas announced indefinite suspension of Screening of all Bollywood as a protest against banned of Pakistani Artists in India.

Chairman of Film Exhibitors Associations (FEA), told reporters that after a thorough discussion with parties and concerned, the Association has decided Screening Bollywood movies will resume from December 19.
“Cinema business has been hit immensely and all stakeholders felt it was the right time to begin screening Indian films. It was always a self-imposed suspension, not a ban.” Lashari added.

Since Bollywood is popular in Pakistani Theatre, this self-imposed suspension caused in loss of revenue to Pakistani Cinema.

Pakistan cinemas will start screening Bollywood movies from Monday. “the movies which could be screened due to the suspension of Indian content will be screened first” Cinema owners said.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s  “Freaky Ali” will be screening on Monday 19 December.

Actress Sonali Bendre Behl stepped into the shoes of her son, literally. She has decided to keep them, too. “Stepped into my son’s shoes… literally! @rockbehl, I am gonna keep these,” Sonali wrote while putting up an image that shows her trying out her son Ranveer’s shoes.

In the image, she is seen wearing black pants and a baggy knitwear pullover, along with the shoes. Earlier, Sonali had revealed that the lockdown has given her no alternative but to become tech-savvy. She said that she is happy to learn new things during the lockdown, which began in March.

On the personal front, Sonali Bendre was suffering from metastatic cancer and announced this news in 2018 to her followers via social media post. The actress was in the US for six months for the treatment. Post her successful battle with cancer, the actress has graced the cover of few magazines re-defining life and embracing it with all new changes. The actress has time and again spoken about her strength and fight, and people can’t stop but find her a huge inspiration.

“It is no secret that I am technologically-challenged, but this lockdown has given me no alternative but to get the hang of it! I’ve had to figure out how to log on to zoom calls on my own, how to go LIVE on Instagram etc,” she had tweeted.

“Thrillers make for a perfect canvas for an actor – there’s so much to emote, be it drama, action, romance, fear and that’s what really pulls me towards this genre,” Bipasha said.

“I also believe that this genre is enjoyed by audiences because it makes you feel like you’re a part of the process, trying to solve the mystery in your head. While I enjoy other genres as well, thrillers have always been special for me and ‘Dangerous’ even more so – I love the fact that I could act with Karan (husband Karan Singh Grover) again and collaborate with Vikram (Vikram Bhatt), Bhushan (Bhushan Patel) and Mika (Mika Singh) on this project,” she added.

Bipasha is reuniting with Karan Singh for thriller titled “Dangerous”, co-starring Suyyash Rai, Natasha Suri, Sonali Raut, and Nitin Arora. The project is written by Vikram and directed by Bhushan.

It traces the journey of a young entrepreneur Aditya Dhranraj (played by Karan) whose life changes when his wife gets kidnapped and what happens when his ex-lover Neha (played by Bipasha) is sent on-ground to handle the case and find the kidnapper. It will be released on an OTT platform MX Player on August 14.
