Pakistan Cinemas to resume screening Indian films from Dec.19




New Delhi, December 19: Pakistani film exhibitors and Cinema owners are likely to resume screening of Indian Films from December 19. Pakistani Cinema has lifted banned on Bollywood movies.

The ban was imposed due to escalations of tensions between India and Pakistan due to terrorist attacks on the border.

On September 30, management of Pakistan Cinemas announced indefinite suspension of Screening of all Bollywood as a protest against banned of Pakistani Artists in India.

Chairman of Film Exhibitors Associations (FEA), told reporters that after a thorough discussion with parties and concerned, the Association has decided Screening Bollywood movies will resume from December 19.
“Cinema business has been hit immensely and all stakeholders felt it was the right time to begin screening Indian films. It was always a self-imposed suspension, not a ban.” Lashari added.

Since Bollywood is popular in Pakistani Theatre, this self-imposed suspension caused in loss of revenue to Pakistani Cinema.

Pakistan cinemas will start screening Bollywood movies from Monday. “the movies which could be screened due to the suspension of Indian content will be screened first” Cinema owners said.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s  “Freaky Ali” will be screening on Monday 19 December.

Ajay Devgn says he is doing remake of Tamil movie ‘Kaithi’





Mumbai, Feb 28 (IANS) Actor Ajay Devgn on Friday confirmed that he will star in the remake of the Tamil movie “Kaithi”.

“Yes, I’m doing the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaithi. Releases on February 12, 2021. @RelianceEnt @DreamWarriorpic @ADFFilms @Shibasishsarkar #SRPrakashbabu @prabhu_sr @Meena_Iyer,” Ajay tweeted.

The film is set to release on February 12, 2021.

“Kaithi” revolves around an ex-convict who is on his way to meet his daughter for the first time. He is accompanied by an injured police officer and, before he reaches his destination, he has to face a gang of drug lords.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the Tamil original, which starred Karthi in the lead role, received positive reviews from critics and worked well at the box office.

The film will be co-produced by Reliance Entertainment along with the Chennai-based film company Dream Warrior Pictures, founded by brothers S.R. Prakashbabu and S.R. Prabhu.

Prabhu had said that “Kaithi” is a film with “no heroine, no songs and 100 per cent action”.

“Released with all these odds on the Diwali festival day, ‘Kaithi’ came out as a box office blockbuster among the family audience in South. We’re delighted to join hands with Reliance Entertainment for the Bollywood remake. This high-octane film will surely entertain the audience pan India,” Prabhu had said.

Mumbai, Feb 28 (IANS) Actress Shweta Tiwari was recently seen having a good time at her brother Nidhaans wedding, which she attended with her daughter Palak and son Reyansh.

Shweta and her kids turned out colour-coordinated in vibrant hues of orange, saffron and yellow, and made quite a collective statement in ethnic style going by pictures she has posted on Instagram.

Jacqueline Fernandes ‘super excited’ to work with Asim Riaz in music video





Mumbai, Feb 27 (IANS) Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandes says is “super excited” to work with “Bigg Boss 13” runner-up Asim Riaz in a music video.

“The song is very relevant and modern and will be extremely fun. I loved just the idea of it, too. The tale we’re telling through this music video is magical. The concept of song and the music video were too enticing, for me to pass it up. The choreography and the steps are traditional and desi but has a modern touch too which overall fits beautifully in this story of eternal love. The team and I have been prepping and rehearsing to get every nuance right,” said Jacqueline.

She added: “I am super excited to be working with Asim Riaz for the first time. The music video is going to be a visual treat for everyone. We’re looking forward to everyone seeing it. I really loved working on this, because it was a passion project for me.”

Earlier, the actress and Asim took to Instagram Story and posted boomerang videos in which they can be seen doing dance rehearsals at a studio.

In the video, Jacqueline sports athleisure while Asim dons a yellow T-shirt.

“Here we go,” Asim captioned the video.

According to the reports, the song is a folk number composed by Tanishk Bagchi. It has been sung by Neha Kakkar.

Fans are going gaga after watching the videos.

The song will be released by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-series.
