Pak troops violate ceasefire in J&K’s Shahapur

Pakistan army on Monday night violated ceasefire in Shahapur sector of Poonch district at Jammu and Kashmir, according to Indian Army.

“Pakistani soldiers initiated indiscriminate firing at midnight on Indian Army posts along the LoC in Poonch district,” Defence spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta told media in Jammu.

“Our troops have retaliated appropriately.”

Intermittent firing exchanges are still going on in the area, he added.
