Pak resorts to brutality to calm `Black Day` protests in PoK

New Delhi, Oct 27, 2016: A video has appeared today showing the Pakistani Police brutally thrashing protesters to silence `Black Day` protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Protesters took to streets in Muzaffarabad and other towns where they displayed banners and shouted slogans against the Pakistani government saying that the country forcefully occupied the region on October 22, 1947.

A protester said “we want freedom, Pakistan should withdraw its forces from Kashmir at once, we can’t take it anymore”.

“Pakistan is unable to take care of itself. Wherever (Pakistan Prime Minister) Nawaz Sharif goes, (Chief of Army Staff General) Raheel Sharif’s shadow accompanies him”, said another protester.

Just months after partition in 1947, Pakistani forces, masquerading as tribal, attacked the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir and indulged in plunder and the killing of innocents on an unprecedented level.

The tribals, known as Kabailies, were employed by Pakistan with a conspiracy to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir by executing a genocide on the people. It was an attack by Pakistani Pathans on the Kashmiri people.

Thousands of people were killed, women were raped, young women were abducted and their whereabouts are still not known.
