Over 300 IT sleuths to conduct raids in Bengaluru : Kumaraswamy reveals about Modi govt plans

Bengaluru , March 27 : Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy has revealed that Modi government has sent more than 300 officials from various parts of the country to conduct income tax raids on Congress-JD(S) functionaries at 6:00 am on Thursday.

“I have got specific information that some 200 to 300 IT and other sleuths have arrived from various parts of the country. they may start raids tomorrow,” Kumaraswamy claimed.

He claimed that the raids may be carried out at 5 am Thursday.

Accused the Narendra Modi government of vengeance politics, Karnataka Chief minister said, “It’s vengeance politics by the central government, we know it’s happening because of elections, if they continue like this, we’ll do what West Bengal CM did.”

Kumaraswamy said that Congress and JDS will not be cowed down by the Modi led government pressure and will follow the course of Banerjee. who had staged a “Save the Constitution” dharna from February 3 to 5 at Kolkata after the CBI’s failed bid to question Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar in connection with chit fund cases.

“They will be ferried from the airport to the city. They have been brought to Bengaluru from other states to carry out income tax raids in Karnataka,” Kumaraswamy told reporters at Mandya.
