New Delhi, Jan 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday made it clear that ordinance on the proposed Ram Temple will be considered only after legal process gets over.

In an interview to news agency ANI, the Prime Minister stated “Let the judicial process be over. After the judicial process is over, whatever will be our responsibility as the government, we are ready to make all efforts”.

“We have said in our BJP manifesto that a solution would be found to this issue under the ambit of the Constitution”.

On being asked why an Ordinance cannot be promulgated to facilitate Ram temple construction when a similar step was taken to ban instant practice of divorce “Triple Talaq”.

In response, Modi stated “the Triple Talaq ordinance was brought after the Supreme Court verdict, in the light of Supreme Court verdict.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party, as articulated in its manifesto, wants building of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

In the recent past, there has been a renewed voice within the saffron party as well as by its allies in the Sangh Parivar for expediting the process of construction of the temple.

The Sangh Parivar outfits have expressed displeasure over the delay in resolving the matter and there are demands for promulgating an Ordinance to facilitate building of a temple.

The Supreme Court will hear the matter on January 4.

The matter is listed before a bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice S K Kaul.

Speaking on Urijit Patel’s resignation, the Prime Minister said that “He himself requested(to resign)on personal reasons. I am revealing for the first time, he was telling me about it for past 6-7 months before his resignation. He gave it even in writing. No question of political pressure”.
