New Delhi, Nov 8 : NDA rule under leadership of PM Modi has destabilized constitutionally created institutions and the responsibility of all secular parties including Congress is to save the country’s constitution by uniting against the BJP for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections,Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu told mediapersons after a meeting with Janata Dal (Secular) president HD Deve Gowda and his son, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, in Bengaluru today.
Exuding confidence,Kumaraswamy referred to the 1996 when various regional parties managed to register the victory by puting a united front and said “1996 will repeat in 2019.”
“It is essential that the opposition unite to save democracy at a time when national institutions such as the Reserve Bank of India and the Central Bureau of Investigation have been compromised. The investigation agency, which is supposed to be autonomous, is now being used to keep the opposition under control,” said Mr Naidu.
N Chandrababu Naidu,the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has taken the lead and met several leaders to consolidate all secular parties to remove NDA govt in 2019.
All the three leaders maintained that the decision on the joint prime ministerial candidate can be discussed later.
