One jawan martyred as Army foils infiltration bid in J&K’s Naugam

Jammu, June 8, 2017: One jawan lost his life and three terrorists were killed after Indian Army on Thursday foiled infiltration bid along Line of Control (LoC) in Naugam sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation is still continued.

“Three terrorists were killed and an Army soldier martyred in Naugam sector of the LoC in Kupwara district when a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate into our side from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” a Defence Ministry source said.

In another incident, at least two jawans injured in an encounter along LoC in Uri town of Baramulla district in J&K after 5-6 terrorists tried to infiltrate early today.

On Wednesday, three militants were killed when the Army foiled an infiltration bid in Machil sector of Kupwara district.
