On Martyr’s Day, Nation pays tribute to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru & Sukhdev

New Delhi, March 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to the martyred revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their death anniversary, saying the nation will never forget their sacrifice.

“Remembering Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on the day of their martyrdom. India will never forget their courage and sacrifice,” Modi said in a tweet.

The three revolutionaries were sent to gallows by the colonial British on March 23, 1931.

Commemorating the courage and sacrifice of the Bravehearts, India observes the Day as Shaheed Diwas, Sarvodaya Day, Martyrs Day every year.

 

The sacrifices of the young leaders of Indian Freedom Struggle would is unforgettable and a source of innate patriotism.

Bhagat Singh was hanged to death at an age of 23 on this day. He is face of true nationalism and hero figure in the eyes of Indians.

Rajguru was a revolutionary from Pune, Maharashtra, who was accused in the assassination of J P Saunders along with Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev.

Sukhdev Thapar was involved in Lahore Conspiracy Case. Sukhdev was an accomplice of Bhagat Singh during the Central Assembly Hall bombings.
