Indian boxer Pooja Rani (75kg) beats Algeria’s Ichrak Chaib 5-0 to enter quarterfinals of Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Pooja is now just one win away from an Olympics medal.

Pooja on the other hand, was looked calm and composed, knew exactly what she needed to do to get past an opponent 10 years her junior.
The 30-year-old from Bhiwani is in the middle of one of her best year’s in the sport, having won the Asian Boxing Championship gold in May and a victory over world champion Atheyna Bylon in March this year at the Boxam International Tournament where she won silver.
There’s also plenty of conviction, a positive mindset and preparation which includes sparring with men and watching bouts from the recent European qualifiers to assess her rivals’ technique and game plan.
Pooja had qualified for the Tokyo Olympics with a 50 win over Pornnipa Chutee in the quarter-final of the women’s 75 kg at the Asia-Oceania Olympic qualifiers last year.
