The medical report will be sent by the officers to the Health and Family welfare by 10th of every month.
Delhi Commission for Women taken the move in the view of rising complaints that MLC (medico-legal certificate) reports were not being given to child rape survivors and that the directives of the Delhi High Court regarding MLC of child rape survivals were not being followed, a government release said.
Afterwards, the Commission had written to the health secretary on February 17 and sought its reply.
The MLC of girl child rape survivors shall be done by a lady doctor in presence of her parents, providing psychologist to the girl child rape survivor before conducting MLC. In addition, the survivor shall be entitled to medical treatment, whenever necessary.
