Odisha, 6 Feb: At least 64 girl students of a government school in Odisha stepped out of their hostel, voicing against harassment of the hostel warden.
Around 64 girls left the hostel of the Gajapati’s Mohana Government High School, run by ST/SC development department.
Reports say that according to sources the warden had not allowed hostel students to go to the Saraswati Puja in the locality. After which, there was a heated argument between the warden and the inmates. The girls have alleged that after this, the warden harassed them in the hostel.
The girls have reportedly also complained about the inferior quality of food served in the hostel. The parents of the girls have now taken to roads, protesting against the warden demanding action against him.
