Not sure if 39 missing Indians in Mosul are alive: Iraqi foreign minister

New Delhi, July 24: Iraqi External affairs minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, who is on a five-day visit to India said he was not sure if the 39 Indians missing in Mosul since 2014 were still alive adding, trying our best to found them. 

He said “Have no substantial evidence that they were killed/still alive, can’t give anything in that regard” quoted news agency ANI.

Jaafari’s statement came after he met Indian External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj at Jawaharlal Nehru for a discussion on bilateral relations between the two nations.

During the Parliament session Swaraj Swaraj is anticipated to brief about will her bilateral talks with Jaafari.

After meeting Swaraj, Jaafari met Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Last week, Swaraj met families of 39 missing Indians and said they might be imprisoned in Badush region of northwest Mosul.
