‘No Trust Motion’ will be tabled in Monsoon Session of Parliament: Congress


New Delhi, July 13: Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said No Trust Motion against the central government will be tabled in the Monsoon Session of Parliament that is scheduled to begin from July 18. 

Addressing media, he stated, “No Trust Motion’ that will be tabled in the Monsoon Session of Parliament will be deliberated by the Congress party”.

Pitching for a special status to Andhra Pradesh Surjewala further said, “It is the intent of  Congress President Rahul Gandhi that all promises made to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during bifurcation should be fulfilled”.

The demand for the special category status for Andhra Pradesh has become a bone of contention between the Andhra Pradesh state government and the Centre after the bifurcation of the region which gave birth to Telangana in 2014.

On the related note, the state Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had promised Andhra people for bringing the state under the special category.

In special status, the central government is bound to provide more funds for the development and development of the region.
