New Delhi, Nov 14, 2016: To ensure smooth traffic movement across all National Highways, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today announced that the government has extended the suspension of the fee collection at all the toll plazas till November 18.

Earlier, the government had twice announced the suspension of toll collection at all toll plazas on national highways till the midnight first of November 11 and then November 14.
The decision was taken after one of the major truckers’ organisations AIMTC said that 70% of the trucks will go off roads as fleet owners have no cash to pay for toll charges, other expenses and to fill fuel.
