No scam occurred during my regime : Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Gurugram land deal

New Delhi, Sep 4: Attacking the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government in Haryana, Former  Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said no scam occurred during his regime and asked if there had been any substance in it, the government would have filed an FIR why a private person.

Hooda attacked the Khattar government over the FIR lodged against Robert Vadra and him in alleged  Gurugram land grab case and said, ” There’s no scam, complaint was filed by a private person. If there’s FIR against you, it doesn’t make you accused. Had there been any substance in it then  government would have  filed an FIR..”

Further posed a question, ” Why a private person will file a complaint.”

An FIR has been filed against UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son- in-law Robert Vadra, real estate giant DLF and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the complaint filed by  Surinder Sharma, resident of village Rathivas in Nuh district of Haryana, for Gurgaon land deals .

“It’s being done due to political malice. There was no wrong doing during our regime. Had this been the case, we wouldn’t have been spared so far,” Hooda said.

The FIR, Hooda alleged, was being done to divert attention from the Rafale deal, the demonetisation “scam”, the 12 lakh crore “loot” through hike in prices of petrol and diesel, and the rapidly falling rupee and “failing” economy, among other things.

“They’re doing this to distract people from their failures, It’s result of government’s frustration,” he added.
