VHP leader Pravin Togadia on Tuesday informed that the VHP will not embark on any campaign to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
He said that the agitation to construct a grand Ram Mandir will not be launched until the Uttar Pradesh assembly election in 2017 (which is next year).
Nevertheless, Togadia said VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) was devoted to construct a huge Ram Mandir in Ayodhya where the Babri Masjid was demolished in December 1992.
“(A grand) Ram temple in Ayodhya will be constructed. It is a fact,” he said.
VHP activists brought down the Babri Masjid and made a provisional Ram Mandir which is open to pilgrims. The VHP has always claimed to construct a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
