Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president KT Rama Rao has condemned the attack on a woman forest officer by TRS MLA Koneru Konappa and his supporters with lathis or bamboo sticks. She blamed Koneru’s brother for the attack.
A TRS worker attacked a woman forest ranger, Anita, during a plantation drive in Sirpur Kagaznagar block of Komaram Bheem in Asifabad district of the state today .
“I strongly condemn the atrocious behaviour of Koneru Krishna who attacked a forest officer who was doing her job. He has been arrested and a case booked already; no one is above law of the land,” KTR said in a statement on Twitter.Violence broke when a team of forest officials were on a plantation drive on the land allegedly encroached by the TRS leader.
It also started after an altercation over the plantation of trees, following which TRS workers mercilessly landed blows and beat the woman officer with sticks.
