Patna , April 5: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has claimed Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar wanted to rejoin the ‘grand allaince’ within six months of walk out and allying with the NDA.
In his upcoming book ‘Gopalganj to Raisina: My Political Journey’, Prasad, said that Nitish Kumar sent JD(U) vice-president Prashant Kishor five different ocassions with the offer.
Reacting to Lalu’s revelation, Kishor described his claims “bogus” and stated they met many times before the leader joined JDU.
“The claims made by Laluji as reported are BOGUS. This is nothing but a poor attempt seeking relevance by a leader whose best days are behind him”, he tweeted.
“Yes, we did meet many times before I joined JDU, but if I were to tell what all was discussed then he would be quite embarrassed”.
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav today said “I say this with full responsibility, Nitish Kumar made many attempts to get back and ally with us, he tried many different approaches”.
