New Delhi, 27 May: The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday as PM is hosting Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth over lunch.
Nitish Kumar said, “I was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the lunch in the honour of Mauritius Prime Minister.”
“You know we have deep emotional bonds with people there. 52 percent of the population there has origins in Bihar,” Nitish Kumar said.
The lunch meeting will coincide with the BJP-led NDA government’s third anniversary in power. As per the reports, the leaders will be discussing a united candidate for the upcoming presidential polls.
Nitish Kumar missed Friday’s lunch because of a prior engagement. However, leaders of 17 parties were present at the lunch. Among the many present were SP’s Naresh Aggarwal and Ram Gopal Yadav, AIUDF’s Badruddin Ajmal, JMM’s Sanjiv Kumar, JD(S)’s CS Puttaraju and RSP’s NK Premachandran.
However, missing the meeting with Congress president, he cleared that he had already intimated the Congress chief that Sharad Yadav was going to represent the JD(U).
