NEET, JEE exams to be conducted twice a year: Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi, July 7: Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday announced that candidates can now appear for the NEET and JEE exams twice a year. 

Addressing a press conference Javadekar said JEE(Mains) will take place in January and April and NEET in February and May.

NEET and JEE are competitive exams for national level medical and engineering institutions respectively.

Besides this, he said constituted National Talent Agency will now conduct NEET, JEE, UGC NET, CMAT exams which were organised by CBSE so far.

According to the minister, the best score will be considered in the counseling process.

All these exams would be computer-based from now onwards and students can practice at home or at authorised computer centres without any cost.

However, the details of such centres would be announced soon
