NCERT syllabus to be reduced by half: Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi, June 4:  The Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has decided to cut down the NCERT syllabus by half as it is ‘cramped’, said HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Speaking to media on Saturday, Javadkar stated “The government has decided to reduce the NCERT syllabus by half as it is “cramped.”

However, now the focus would be on a child needs physical education, life skills, and value-based education.

As per the reports, by the end of June, the draft of a new National Education Policy will be tabled before the Union Cabinet.
