Naxals torch vehicles in Bihar’s Gaya

Patna, May 2: The Naxals on Thursday torched four vehicles of a road construction company in Barachatti of Gaya district of Bihar.

They torched the vehicles, which were parked along the road, using kerosene and diesel, the officer said.

“After setting the vehicles on fire, the Naxals escaped into the forest.

This attack came within 24 hours after naxals triggered an IED blast that killed 15 policemen and a civilian in Kurkheda tehsil of Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra on Wednesday.

Moreover, NCP chief Sharad Pawar slammed Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the naxal attack in Gadchiroli, state Education Minister Vinod Tawde said the NCP chief was playing politics over the “national issues” and accused him of talking on the lines of ultras.

Pawar has sought resignation of Fadnvais, who also holds Home portfolio, on a day naxals triggered an IED blast that killed 15 policemen and a civilian in the east Maharashtra district.
