Patna, March 28: Armed Naxals targeted a former Bihar Legislative Council member’s residence in Gaya district of Bihar.
The Maoist attack on Anuj Kumar Singh’s Bodhibigha residence took place last night. The insurgents used dynamite for the explosion.
As per police official, the banned Left wing activists had assaulted a close aide of Singh before ordering him to vacate the house.
“The house was badly damaged,” Dharmendra Kumar, police official at Dumaria police station said.
Gaya Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra a search operation has been launched to nab the culprits.
The attack comes days ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in which Bihar will vote in all the seven phases, starting from April 11 to May 19.
