New Delhi, Dec 27: Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal Wednesday stoked controversy saying Pakistan considers former Indian naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav as a terrorist, so it treated him accordingly.
After becoming the talking point, Aggarwal came up with a justification and also cornered the BJP-led central government. He said “the ill-treatment meted out to Indian prisoners lodged in Pakistani jails is known to all. In spite of knowing this Indian govt has not taken stern steps, this is a very serious matter”.

Speaking to news agency ANI, SP leader had said ” “If Pakistan has declared Kulbhushan Jadhav as a terrorist in their country, then they will treat him like one. In our country also, we should treat terrorists in a similar manner. Terrorists have to be dealt strictly.”
He had also wondered why country’s media was only speaking about Jadhav when there were many others who were languishing in Pakistani jails.
Agrawal’s controversial remark came a day after Ministry of External Affairs revealed the details of meeting between Jadhav with his wife and mother on December 25 in which it detailed humiliation faced by Jadhav’s mother and wife.
