Jodhpur, Sep 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Army exhibition ‘Parakarm Parv’ at Jodhpur Military Station, marking the second anniversary of the surgical strike in Pakistan.
Organised by the Konark Corps to commemorate the second anniversary of the surgical strikes across the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, the exhibition at the Jodhpur Military Station will showcase the Army’s might and contribution in nation-building.
Earlier in a day, the Prime Minister laid a wreath at Konark War Memorial.
“Nation is proud of brave military power that is determined and devoted to the safety of the motherland. My warm regards to the bravehearts who perform supreme sacrifice & are symbols of inspiration for every generation,” PM Modi wrote in the visitor’s book at Konark War memorial.
On his arrival, PM Modi received a warm welcome by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, Air Force Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa and Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba at Jodhpur Airport.
After that, he was accorded ‘guard of honour’ at the airport.
