Mumbai, April 1: “Naam Shabana”, a film with actress Taapsee Pannu playing the lead role, has minted first day box office collection of Rs 5.12 crore in India.
The figure was confirmed by the film’s spokesperson.
Shivam Nair directorial released in around 2100 screens across India, according to trade pundits.
Co-starring Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee, Danny Denzongpa and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The film is a spin-off of the 2015 hit movie “Baby”, in which Taapsee featured as Shabana. Now this movie tells the story behind her character.
“Naam Shabana”, which is her fourth Bollywood outing after “Chashme Baddoor”, “Baby” and “Pink”. She has thanked everyone for praising the film.
