Jaipur, July 24: In the wake of Alwar lynching row, Rajasthan Minister Jaswant Yadav on Tuesday urged Muslims to understand the sentiments of Hindus and stop smuggling cows.

“Appeal to Muslims to understand the sentiments of Hindus and stop smuggling cows. They must stop this business”, Yadav told media.

Speaking on Alwar Lynching Case, he expressed condolence and said: “I stand against those who take law in their hands”.

Earlier in a day, Shia Waqf Board Chief Waseem Rizvi stated a law should be made awarding strict punishment to those killing cows.

“You can’t stop mob lynching, security can’t be deployed everywhere. So a law should be made awarding strict punishment to those killing cows”, he told media.

Akbar, a resident of Haryana and was transporting two cows along with an associate, Aslam Khan, when a group of people allegedly stopped them on July 20. While Rakbar was brutally assaulted on suspicion of cow smuggling and Aslam managed to escape.

On the related note, three persons- Dharmendra Yadav,  Naresh Singh and Paramjeet Singh have been arrested so far.
