Rampur MP Azam Khan said that mob lynching is the punishment Muslims are getting after 1947.
Muslims who stayed in Indian during partition because of the promises made by the founding fathers of the country are now being punished.
Speaking on the mob lynching of three men in Bihar’s Saran district over alleged attempt to steal cattle, the Rampur MP said, “It is the punishment Muslims are getting after 1947. Muslims will face it whatever may it be.”
Samajwadi MP and former minister Azam Khan’s name has been put in the Uttar Pradesh government’s list of ‘land mafias’ after which action is likely to be taken against him.
Why didn’t our ancestors go to Pakistan? Ask this to Maulana Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel and Bapu. They had made promises to Muslims,” Khan, known for his controversial statements, said.
According to reports, Khan’s name was put on the ‘anti-land mafia’ portal by the Rampur district administration late on Thursday.
It may be recalled that at least 13 FIRs had been lodged against Khan, who is a prominent Muslim face of the party, on land-grabbing charges.
