Mumbai: Miracle baby survives 12 hour operation

A four – month –old miracle baby, named Vidisha survived 12 hour long heart surgery at Mumbai’s B J Wadia Hospital.

Vidisha was born with heart defect to get through it she needed a major heart surgery. She also suffered six heart attacks thereafter. But somehow it’s all gods almighty she successfully survived.

She was admitted to the hospital in March, now she will be discharged within the next couple of days.

Miracle baby belongs to lower middle class family, her parents Vishaka and Vinod Waghmare they could barely mangage Rs 25000 out total bill of  Rs 5-lakh.

However, remaining amount was paid by several donors of the hospital.

According to TOI , Dr Biswa Panda, paediatric cardiac surgeon of Wadia Hospital, said “Vidisha heart’s anatomy was opposite of a normal heart,”

Baby‘s heart function improved after surgery, but her weak lungs didn’t.

Following this Dr Panda said “Correction for the transposition of the great arteries should be done immediately after birth. Else, like in Vidisha’s case, the poorly formed lung got used to a certain pattern and couldn’t adjust to the sudden correction,”

New Delhi, Dec 1: The Delhi Police on Tuesday closed the Chilla border connecting Delhi to the UP link road towards Noida due to the farmers’ protest.

The Singhu and Tikri borders are already closed by Delhi Traffic police for any vehicular movement which has caused traffic diversions at various points in the national capital region as the farmers agitation entered its sixth day.

The Delhi Traffic Police after closing the Chilla border advised motorists to take alternative routes towards Noida after taking a U-turn from under the Ghazipur, Akshardham flyover and also from Sarai Kale Khan.

While the Tikri border, Jharoda Border, Jhatikra Border are closed for any traffic movement, the Badusarai Border is open only for two wheeler traffic.

“Available Open Borders to Haryana are Dhansa, Daurala, Kapashera, Rajokri NH-8,Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera,” said a senior Traffic police officer.

“Singhu Border is still closed from both sides. Please take alternative route.Traffic has been diverted from Mukarba Chowk and GTK road. Traffic is very very heavy. Please avoid outer ring road from Signature Bridge to Rohini and vice versa, GTK road, NH 44 and Singhu border,” the Delhi Traffic Police Twitter handle tweeted.

Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 1 : A 13-year-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by a man in a village under the Sungarhi police circle.


The accused, who is a family friend, took the girl away on the pretext of buying toffees and raped her.

The crime was committed on November 27, but the girl’s family avoided lodging a complaint, fearing loss of family reputation.

An FIR was finally lodged by the victim’s family on Sunday evening and the girl was sent for medical examination on Monday to the district hospital.

SHO Atar Singh said that the accused has been booked under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Dibrugarh BEd CET: Exam dates

Initially, the Dibrugarh BEd CET result was slated to be released on November 30, 2020. The exam was conducted on November 24, 2020, for admission to the BEd course in the varsity. DUPGET 2020 results have been declared.
