Mumbai : BARC scientist’s son goes missing, Police clueless

Mumbai,Sep 29 : A Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) scientist’s son has gone missing since September 23 and still police have no leads in the case. 17-year old Naman Dutt, a student of Pace Science Junior College, walked out of his home wearing a blue pair of jeans and a polo T-Shirt, carrying a rucksack. BARC scientist is a resident of Vashi .

According to his mother Chandra Ramamurthy, a psychiatrist, her son was battling depression and undergoing treatment for it.

Her mother said, “Police is cooperating with us but we haven’t come across any evidence of his whereabouts. He is on treatment for depression and was recovering.”

The Vashi police have registered a missing complaint and have been searching for him.

According to reports , the 17-year-old boy was last seen boarding a CSTM bound train from Vashi station.  The cops say that the boy’s mobile phone has been switched off from the time of the incident.

Police teams have procured call data records of Dutt’s mobile phone on Friday and are also examining CCTV footage from various police stations to track his movement .
