Mumbai Auto-Rickshaw drivers on indefinite strike from July 9

July 8 : Commuters in Mumbai are likely to have a tough time as Mumbai Auto-Rickshaw Drivers’ Unions have called for a strike starting 12 am tonight ( from July 9) over their demand of increase in fare among others.

Around 2.2 lakh rickshaws will remain off roads in Mumbai and the strike is likely to spread in other parts of Maharashtra demanding fare hike.

Around 350 different associations across Maharashtra are under the banner of Auto rikshaw Chalak Malak Sanghatna Sanyukta Kruti Samiti Maharashtra and have called for a state wide strike.
