Mumbai, Sep 30 : MS Dhoni The Untold Story cast: Sushant Singh Rajput, Anupam Kher, Rajesh Sharma, Bhumika Chawla, Kumud Mishra, Disha Patani, Kiara Advani, Harry Tangri
Story Director: Neeraj Pandey

The much awaited ‘MS Dhoni The Untold Story’ has been finally released in the theater today. The movie tells the story of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, an excellent cricketer from Ranchi becoming the most successful captain of Indian Cricket Team.

The movie begins with a  promise. Young Dhoni is more into football, badminton, tennis, and tries to wipe off his first coach (Rajesh Sharma) who spots his talent. The entire ‘bachpan’-adolescence section, featuring the father (Anupam Kher) who thinks , a good job will take his son in higher status than sports, the mother who believes in her son, the sister (Bhumika Chawla) who is a strong supporter, his group of faithful friends who just know he can do it, has been crafted with heart and feels authentic.

We see  young Mahi (Sushant Singh Rajput) trying and failing and trying again, despite all the hindrances, to keep his eye on his goal: to be part of the Indian team and play for his country. Sushant Singh looks so much likeDhoni that its hard to say who is Sushant and who is Dhoni.

However, later part of the movie goes into an irreversible slide. It  also shows the love line of Dhoni. The romantic love scenes between Sushant and Kiara perfectly highlight the chemistry between the two. (Disha Patani, Kiara Advani, both sparkly, both reduced to sidebars). There are songs and dances.

Dhoni who is shown as the sole match-winner from the Indian side. His Indian cricketing team, (Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, and others), are seen in flashes, either from the back or in profile.

Kudos to Sushant Singh Rajput for being such a good actor, and for making the audience feel like they are  watching the star cricketer on the big screen.
