Pandit Nehru and Modi

Modi’s ultimate decline starts from Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is suffering from some problem as he deliberately omits to mention or credit first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru, who laid the foundation stone of Sardar Sarovar Dam on April 5, 1961 and instead named Mahatma, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Ambedkar in his speech to take the entire credit for dedicating to the nation on his birthday.

BJP and his ideological parent RSS, should keep aside their fabricated history and clear the facts that in 1928 Mahatma Gandhi proposed dominion status for India, but Nehru is the one who demanded complete independence, soverign and republic India, due to this the credit for national integration should go to Nehru.

So no one on earth can erase Nehru’s imprint from the history of India. This type of shallow mindedness being exhibited by BJP leadership will lower their prestige in the eyes of the world.

Modi’s entire focus is to win GUjarat Assembly elections which are due this year 2017. Considering as a prestige battle for himself, Modi showered praise for adivasis or tribals (constituting 14%) during his Birthday speech as Tribals votes are very crucial for the Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP President Amit Shah is already moving from door to door begging for votes.

In order to woo patidar community, Modi even praised two cooperative leaders which has been agitating for reservation. Modi has ruled Gujarat for 13 years before becoming Prime Minister and now has employed everything from jobs to infrastructure and caste permutations and combinations to win the elections.

The employment rate of Gujarat in 2015 is about 30% while in other states there is substantial rise in applications of job seekers at employment exchanges but less than 1% are able to get jobs.

After having registered major victories in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, BJP is trying to bring upper castes, other backward classes (OBCs) 40% of the states’s population, tribals and schdeuled castes and tribes onto its platform to register its victory in Gujarat. But Patels which constitutes 14% of the state’s population and who have been voting for the BJP for over two decades, now, appear to be supporting Congress.

Gujarat Patidar leader Hardik Patel has urged Patidars not to vote for the BJP in the state assembly elections in December.

During his Sankalp Yatra, Hardik Patel said , “It is our duty to liberate our community which has been enslaved for the last 25 years. The post-Godhra riots of 2002 were between Hindus and Muslims. But as a matter of fact, 140 Patidars are serving life imprisonment even today. The BJP have only exploited our votes and notes (money) and gave nothing in return.”

Patels have been demanding reservation for the community for two years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s top brass are boasting on the achievements of his government including the abrupt killing of the high denomination currency notes in an effort to stem corruption i.e. demonetization and the implementation of goods and services tax (GST).

But people are fed up with harsh experiments being done on them by the government on the pretext that demonetization will eliminate illicit cash i.e. black money and will root out corruption .

Small business owners are upset with the implementation of GST and the time will tell how it is going to affect the country’s economy and growth rate.

Where as the reality is that Corruption continues unabated and militancy in Kashmir has spiked, jobs have vanished, small business owners and traders have been badly hit and the people are suffering due to high inflation. The country’s economy is in bad shape and the impact will be witnessed by BJP in Gujarat elections outcome.
