Gandhinagar, Sep 17: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his special day celebrates his 66th birthday with the warm blessings and love of his mother Hira Ba in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
“Mother’s love and blessings are the basic essence of life,” Modi tweeted in Hindi along with two pictures of him and his mother.
He also thanked President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari for their wishes.
Modi landed in Ahmedabad on a two-day visit on Friday night.
He was welcomed by the Governor OP Kohli, the entire Gujarat cabinet including the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, state BJP leaders including the newly-appointed president Jitu Vaghani and hundreds of party workers at the airport.
He is slated to fly to the tribal district of Limkheda later on Saturday to inaugurate the water and irrigation schemes worth over Rs 1,700 crore.
Modi will also address a public rally at Limkheda before leaving for Navsari in south Gujarat where he will address Samajik Adhikarita Shibir (workshop) for disabled children.
The Prime Minister would leave for Surat on his way to New Delhi on Saturday evening.
Wishes for the Prime Minister poured in on social media from all around the country.
